In accordance with the procedures specified in the editorial guidelines, the University Press publishes open-access journals and books that have scientific relevance, high didactic value, or can foster social and cultural progress by disseminating knowledge outside the academic setting.

To Publish a Book

The publication of a book within an existing series is subject to the verification of its scientific relevance and quality, and to its subsequent approval by the Scientific Committee of the series. The editorial work, the peer review procedure, and the copyright management shall be agreed upon with the Editorial Team of the relevant series.
To publish a book outside the existing series, the publication proposal shall be submitted to the Scientific Publications Office and to the Director of the relevant Department/Centre. The Director vouches for the scientific relevance, high didactic value, or importance within the scope of the third mission of the publication.

To Publish a Book Series

Book series are editorial initiatives that have their own Scientific Committee and meet specific requirements for scientific quality (guaranteed through a peer review process), formal quality, and continuity.

To Publish a Journal

Scientific journals are published in Open Access on TESeO - Trento Editions Service for Open science. They are editorial initiatives that have their own Scientific Committee and meet specific requirements for scientific quality (guaranteed through a peer review process), formal quality, and continuity.

To Publish an Informative Magazine

Informative magazines are launched upon the initiative of University Structures and are published on the UniTrento website. (Note: these magazines are not published on open access platforms.)

Technical Publications

Technical reports, research reports, and other outputs that are not subject to peer review may be included in one of the existing departmental series, which are handled by the relevant Department or Centre, or directly uploaded to IRIS - Institutional Research Information System, by their author.
