The study day marks the conclusion of the DAMEIP project (Data and Metadata for Implementing Peer Review), coordinated by Rossana Morriello (SAGAS Department) and carried out in collaboration with the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Florence. The presentation of the project’s results forms part of a wider programme which, taking peer review as its starting point, will explore key issues such as the impact of artificial intelligence on scientific communication.

The event stems from the need to explore the transformations affecting the European research system and to reflect on the challenges posed by the new framework set out in the European Research Area Act (ERA ACT). The discussion will focus on the themes of Open Science, strategic autonomy and the sovereignty of knowledge infrastructures. The event will be held in a hybrid format (in-person or online).
