Data Management Plan

It is the responsibility of individual affiliates of the University to correctly collect, manage, archive, preserve, and disseminate their research data and other outcomes, in accordance with current legislation (with particular reference to the rules cited in the recent Legislative Decree 200/2021), University regulations, and any funding agreements with third parties.

UniTrento affiliates are strongly encouraged to draft and constantly update their own Data Management Plan  (DMP) including also the other outcomes of their research, even if not formally requested by third parties within funding agreements. Creating a DMP ensures that data and all research outcomes are managed according to FAIR principles, that processing methods meet ethical and legal requirements, and that all necessary measures and costs (in terms of material and human resources) have been taken into consideration for their correct management, including security as well (e.g., related to confidentiality or preservation, such as access control and backups).

UniTrento offers its affiliates training and support.
