The Open Science Committee is the body that, together with the statutory organs of the University of Trento, oversees matters related to Open Science. Specifically, the Committee:
• Develops strategic intervention plans and proposes policies for implementing Open Science principles;
• Raises awareness through training initiatives;
• Manages relationships with external institutions;
• Resolves potential disputes regarding the interpretation of the Policy.
Additionally, the Committee can review and update the Policy when necessary and may establish one or more working groups for each of the main thematic areas defined by the Policy:
• Open Access and Institutional Repository
• Publishing House of the University
• Research Data
The Committee was established alongside the approval of the University’s Open Science Policy during the Academic Senate session on 7th December 2022. It is composed of:
• The Rector’s Delegate for Open Science, who also serves as the Committee Chair.
• One representative from each Department/Centre.
• One technical-administrative staff representative for each of the main thematic areas.
• The Director of the relevant administrative area overseeing these themes.
• One representative from the Doctoral and Research Fellows' Council.
• One representative from the Student Council.
